Driven by the small site, panoramic views, and the clients’ wish for an open free flowing living space this design achieves all this and more. Panoramic views across Otago Harbour frame the spacious, light open living space which flows onto a cleverly designed deck. Projected north walls and eaves shelter the deck from harbour winds and allow the full width door to be opened in all weather. What’s more the design maximises privacy while still ensuring views to Port Chambers and down the harbour to Dunedin City.
Fully clad in Siberian Larch the house features super high performing insulation and great airtight characteristics, creating a warm light environment for the young family owners.
